Dalise began her career in the settlement and integration field in 2010 as the information advisor for the Moose Jaw Newcomer Welcome Centre (NWC), one of Saskatchewan’s regional gateways, and a division of the Moose Jaw Multicultural Council (MJMC). She later served briefly as a settlement worker in schools (SWIS) before returning to the NWC as program manager until 2018 when she moved to her current role.

She holds a bachelor of arts from Briercrest College and has pursued continuing education in international community development through Mount Royal College as well as training in project management through University of Regina.

Sharayah bjelde

assistant project manager

Sharayah started her career in newcomer settlement and integration in 2023, when she signed on as the Program Assistant for the Moose Jaw Multicultural Council (MJMC). As her professional role at the organization evolved, she began to develop a passion for working directly with immigrant and refugee clients on the front line as MJMC’s Community Connections Coordinator and later, the Youth and Community Connections Worker.

She brings to the team a strong understanding of the various challenges and barriers faced by newcomers in their early settlement journey to Canada. Through the many successful programs she has coordinated and led, Sharayah has developed the skills and tools essential to bringing together community members, stakeholders and newcomer groups for the purpose of creating a more welcoming and inclusive environment for all.

She currently holds a Bachelor of Anthropology from Laval University – with a particular focus on the Cultural Anthropology subfield. During her 6 years of post-secondary studies, she has had the opportunity to learn more about cultures around the world, the phenomenon of human migration, and the role that diversity of perspective has played in the general advancement of society.
